Hi my name is Steve and I’m the creator of RollerFunk.com. I started the website in October 2006 as a way to express my love for roller skating. Skating has taken me to many rinks since the late 70′s, a few of them include The Terrace and Amesbury Arena in Toronto and rinks in the USA such as Cascade in Atlanta, The Empire in Brooklyn New York, Orbit Skate Center in Chicago and Northland in Detroit. In the beginning I posted stories about adult Old school skaters,photos and events. In 2010 I expanded the focus of the site to include entertainment news, concerts and events that would be of interest to skaters. In addition the site contains articles on a variety of other topics such as fitness, health and travel. Roller Funk is currently based in Toronto, Ontario. In the next year Roller Funk will grow from a hobby site to a unique media outlet for skaters and the urban community. Enjoy the site and keep roller skating alive!
