New Artist Profile: L.A. skater Ashley Tweed

One thing that strikes me everytime I hit the hardwood in the USA and Canada is the level of artistic talent we have amongst skaters. I’ve come to realize that many serious skaters have backgrounds in dance, music and the arts. L.A. skater Ashley Tweed is just such an example. She is an aspiring singer/model/actress that reminds me of Ciara. Ashley has a gifted voice and the swagger to match it. Check out Ashley’s rendition of “Slow Motion” by Karina Pasian. Britney Spears Leasing home for $25,000 per month

Radaronline reports that singer Britney Spears is laying out $25,000/month on a Thousand Oaks California mansion. She will be sharing the home with her boyfriend Jason Trawick and her sons. $25,000 a month! Britney, you can buy like 5 houses in Detroit for that every month! Ouch, what happened to owning? I think MJ must of influenced her on this one because she’s been leasing a home in California for the past 2 years. I’m about to cry for all that lost money.

Angela and Vanessa Simmons hosted a roller skate party for charity last night at the Moonlight Rollerway in Glendale, California. The event which was titled “An Ncredible Skate Party” benefited Toys 4 Tots. There were performances by Colette Carr and Jessica Jarrell. Actor Nick Cannon was also in attendance
