Russell Westbrook puts the “Air” into roller skates

Oklahoma City Thunder point guard Russell Westbrook tweeted this picture of a brand new pair of Air Jordan III “True Blue” basketball shoes he had customized into roller skates. Westbrook joins the likes of Celtics point gurard Rajon Rondo and boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr who have also shown a love of roller skating. Westbrook and the Thunder are currently having a stellar year in the NBA with Oklahoma sitting at the top of the western conferance. Looks like Westbrook is benefiting from the added sense of balance and coordination roller skating provides. Russell is averaging nearly 19 ppg and 5 assists per game this season. Looks like he may take the title for top ballers who skate this year.

Diddy caught kissing Cameron Diaz

According to the NY Post, Diddy and Cameron Diaz were caught kissing this weekend at PH-D in the Dream Downtown Hotel. The two were apparently attracted to each other all night and after Diddy ordered multiple bottles of Grey Goose, Ciroc and Patron, the pair kissed and were “making out”. They left the club together at around 3 a.m. in the morning. Diaz split with Alex Rodriguez in September but according to the reps for both stars, Diddy and Cameron are “just friends”.

Mariah Carey tweets Melanie Amaro with support

X-Factor contestant Melanie Amaro has some big time support, she recently tweeted Mariah Carey to express how much of an inspiration she was to her and Carey tweeted back. Here is an excerpt from their Twitter conversation as posted by the Examiner.com:

On December 8, 2011, Amaro tweeted to Carey:

Beyonce loses $355,000 on Miami real estate property

TMZ reports that singer Beyonce lost $355,000 on a beach front cabana she bought in a Miami condo complex in 2002. Back then the 190 square foot cabana sold for $465,000. However, she recently got $110,000 for it. A shocking 75% loss. The cabana gave her privacy to change between the condo and the beach. It contained a 1/2 bathroom. Ouch! A 1/2 bathroom and some changing space for almost half a million? Wow!

Amber Rose recently told Wendy Williams that she was getting tired of her trademark short blonde hair and it looks like she’s sporting a new hairstyle. Now she’s got long black hair and you know I think this style is Kim Kardashian inspired. It looks better than the red hair she was sporting a few months back though.

Woman tattoos “Drake” on her forehead

MTV reports that in a case of fans do the darnest things, a Los Angeles woman tattooed the name “Drake” across her forehead to show her love for the popular rapper. Now this takes the saying “crazy groupie” to a whole new level. The woman went into an L.A. tattoo shop owned by Kevin Campbell and asked him to spell Drake across her forehead. Campbell says he asked her three time if that’s really what she wanted before he did the tattoo. He admits he didn’t even know who Drake was and thought it was a gang related tattoo. The woman did however seem intoxicated at the time and kept laughing. Vice Magazine reports that Campbell believed the woman planned the whole thing out in advance. Drake rhymed “Tat my name on you so I know it’s real” in his song “Free Spirit”. Well it looks like everyone that looks at her face is going to know “its real” for a very long time.

Alicia Keys new Broadway play Stick Fly

Alicia Keys has produced a new Broadway play called “Stickfly”. Keys even wrote some music for the play. The show is currently running on Broadway at the Cort Theatre. Keys credited her mother this morning on “Good Morning America” for instilling a love of the theatre in her. Her single mom raised her in “Hells Kitchen” and told her to work hard and be strong. Keys has assembled a strong cast of actors for the play including the daughter of Phylicia Rashard and Mekhi Phifer. For more information about the location and times for the show click here.

Description of the show:

Stick Fly follows the LeVays, an affluent African American family who come together to spend a weekend at their stately Martha’s Vineyard mansion. The adult sons, aspiring novelist Kent and golden boy plastic surgeon Flip, have each brought their respective ladies (one black and one white) to meet the parents. Food, drink and Trivial Pursuit tangle with class, race and identity politics in this contemporary comedy of manners.
