Shake-n-Skate is a series of four free, family-friendly public skating parties in UpTown Waterloo, Ontario. Bundle-up, grab your friends and head to the rink for an evening of beats & blades! Groove to the sounds of 8 different DJs spinning the best in house, techno, and top 40. It’s a fun way to stay active this winter!

Angela and Vanessa Simmons hosted a roller skate party for charity last night at the Moonlight Rollerway in Glendale, California. The event which was titled “An Ncredible Skate Party” benefited Toys 4 Tots. There were performances by Colette Carr and Jessica Jarrell. Actor Nick Cannon was also in attendance

Ludacris & Big Boi hold Charity roller skate

Celebrity rappers Ludacris and Big Boi held a charity roller skate to end hunger in Atlanta, Georgia on November 23, 2011. The 2011 Roll Over Hunger Charity and Skate Jam was also supported by singer Ciara and organized by DeVyne Stephens for his non-profit DeVyne Intervention charity. The event was hosted at Cascade Family Skate Center.

Also supporting the effort was Polow da Don, DJ Toomp, NBA player Josh Smith and actress Demetria McKinney. Proceeds from the event went to Hosea Feed the Hungry Foundation Holiday Dinner Program. Hosea provides meals to Atlanta’s homeless.

Celine Dion Las Vegas Show Tickets

Celine is once again performing at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas for a three year residency starting March 15, 2011.

This brand new show, designed exclusively for The Colosseum at Caesars Palace, features 31 musicians, consisting of a full orchestra and band. The show’s concept is one-of-a-kind and includes Celine’s biggest hits performed with a stunning visual presentation.

Tickets are on sale now for performances from June 2011 to January 2012.

Cabbagetown Festival 2010

It looks like the Cabbagetown Festival is growing larger every year. Not only are the crowds larger, but more and more vendors are taking part in selling food on the street and merchandise. I can remember about 3 or 4 years ago when the festival was still very small. People seem to be heading down Carlton st towards the Riverdale Zoo now for Art & Crafts in the Park. I think the Festival is starting to come into it’s own now. It’s more of a true reflection of the neighborhood instead of trying to be a small Taste of the Danforth.

K’naan live in concert at the Kool Hause

Rapper K’naan will be having an all ages concert at the Kool Haus on Friday October 1, 2010. K’naan’s song “Waving Flag” has been tearing up the airwaves ever since a version of it was chosen by Coke for the 2010 Fifa Soccer competition.
