Not too along ago it seemed that more and more roller rinks around North America were shutting their doors and legendary rinks such as the Empire Roller Rink in Brooklyn NY were becoming a distant memory. However, in the last few years their has been a strong resurgence of roller skating. At some skate jams the age limit has been increased because of capacity issues. While disheartening for younger skaters, I'd none the less like to thank those skaters under 25 for keeping their strong interest in skating and skate culture alive. Without you their is no future. Thanks for supporting the rinks and thanks for keeping roller skating alive for the next generation.
